  1. Q. Is a passport required to cruise for a U.S. Citizen?

  2. "Closed-Loop" Cruises: If you are a U.S. citizen, and you board a cruise ship at a U.S. port, travel only within the Western Hemisphere, and return to the same U.S. port on the same ship, you may present government-issued photo identification, along with proof of citizenship (an original or certified copy of your birth certificate, a Consular report of Birth Abroad, or a Certificate of Naturalization). Please be aware that you may still be required to present a passport to enter the foreign countries your cruise ship is visiting.   3. Q. Is a passport required to cruise for Non-U.S. Citizens?

  4. Last Minute Cruises is a U.S. based company and is only capable of answering travel documents requirement inquiries for U.S. travelers. For Non-U.S travelers please contact your local embassy or consulate to inquiry about travel documentation for the specific cruise itinerary you wish to confirm. If you are denied boarding at the pier by the cruise line on the day of embarkation for any reason, including but not limited to improper documents no refund will be available.
  5. Q. What is included with my cruise reservation?

  6. Items and amenities included but not limited to, with your cruise vacation are as follows: your stateroom accommodations, meals in the main dining room, buffet, and room service, select beverages (i.e. juice, coffee, tea, water, etc.) onboard entertainment, and fitness center. Items and amenities that are NOT included with your cruise are as follows: alcoholic beverages, carbonated soda, mixed drinks, spa treatments, specialty exercise classes, laundry, photographs, internet café, shore excursions, specialty dining and gratuities.
  7. What is a ‘Guarantee’ stateroom/category?

  8. When you select a ‘Guarantee’ stateroom you are selecting a stateroom type (e.g. interior, ocean view, balcony or suite), but the cruise line assigns the deck and location of the stateroom. Stateroom assignment will be provided at the time of check in on embarkation day. Once the stateroom is assigned any changes may incur additional costs or fees. ‘Guarantee’ stateroom only confirm a cabin type but not a specific location, deck, bedding type or view.
  9. Are gratuities included with my cruise total?

  10. Gratuities are not included with your cruise total. Gratuities are between $12-$15 USD per person, per night regardless of age. The only exception when the gratuities are included is if you confirm My Time Dining with Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Select Dining with Celebrity cruise lines. In that case gratuities will be added to your total cost at the end of the reservation process.
  11. How old do I have to be to cruise?

  12. Cruise lines vary in policy with regards to age restrictions. Most cruise lines requires at least one passenger within a cabin to be 21+ years of age. However one exception is Carnival Cruise Lines where their requirement is if there is a minor in a cabin under the age of 21 than at least one passenger within the cabin needs to be 25+ years of age.
  13. How old does an infant have to be to cruise?

  14. All cruise lines required infants to be a minimum of 6 months of age on the day of embarkation to cruise except for Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Lines requires infants to be a minimum of 12 weeks of age on the day of embarkation. Some exceptions to this policy are South American, Transatlantic or 14+ night cruises where infants are required to be a minimum of 12 months on the day of embarkation to cruise. If you are traveling with an infant under the age of 12 months please call us at 866-836-6963 to verify the policy for your specific cruise as this information is subject to change without notice.
  15. Do infants get a discount?

  16. The only cruise lines that provide discounts for infants is Disney Cruise Lines, plus MSC and Costa on select sailings. All other cruise lines charge full fare.
  17. Are children discounted?

  18. The only cruise lines that provide discounts for children is Disney Cruise Lines, MSC and Costa. Discounts are available on select sailings and depend on the age of the child at the time of sailing. All other cruise lines charge full fare no matter the age of the child.
  19. What if my cruise Itinerary changes after I make my reservation?

  20. Unfortunately cruise lines do not guarantee an itinerary. They will guarantee a departure date and length of cruise only. The itinerary is subject to change without notice and compensation is not guaranteed per each cruise lines passenger contract.
  21. What if I have to cancel my cruise due to medical reasons?  Will I receive a refund?         

  22. As long as you did not confirm a non-refundable fare, if you cancel your reservation outside of the cancellation penalty timeline a full refund will be issued back to your credit card by Lastminutecruises.com. However, if you confirmed a non-refundable fare or cancel your reservation within the cancellation penalty timeline of the cruise line a refund will not be available from Lastminutecruises.com if the cruise line enforces their penalties. We strongly suggest purchasing Travel Insurance to ensure compensation if a cancellation arises due to an unforeseen circumstance such as medical reasons, death, financial hardship (ex. loss of job) or weather related cancellations.   23. What time should I board the ship for my cruise?

  24. Due to new U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations for cruises departing from U.S. ports, all cruise lines are now required to submit a final departure manifest at least 60 minutes prior to departure. As a result of this new regulation, guests departing on cruises from the U.S. are required to provide registration information prior to embarkation. Because of this we suggest all guests be at the cruise port 2-4 hours prior to the departure time. No refunds are available for guests who do not arrive to the pier in time to board their cruise. If you are denied boarding at the pier by the cruise line on the day of embarkation for any reason no refund is available.
