  • Q. Will I need a passport to cruise as a U.S. Citizen?

  • If you are a U.S. citizen planning to sail a closed-loop itinerary (cruise that begins and ends in the same U.S. port), you will need a government-issued photo I.D. along with proof of residency (official copy of birth certificate, consular report of birth abroad, certificate of naturalization, etc.). However, all major cruise lines will strongly recommend that you travel with a valid passport to avoid potential complications. Check with your cruise line to ensure you have the appropriate documents, or visit http://travel.state.gov for more detailed information.
  • Q. Will I need a passport to cruise as a Non-U.S. Citizen?

  • The required documents will vary greatly depending on the country of embarkation, traveler's place of residence, what territories the cruise will visit, and the cruise line. It is always best to expect a passport to be required, and many countries require a passport to be valid at least 6 months from the date of entry. Depending on the traveler's country of residence, additional documents such as visas and proof of vaccinations may also be required. Your cruise line and national embassy should be able to provide more thorough information.
  • Q. What is included with my cruise reservation?

  • You will need to refer to the cruise line and any offers/promotions pertaining to your cruise for a detailed list of inclusions and amenities.
  • Q. What is a ‘Guarantee’ stateroom/category?

  • When you select a ‘Guarantee’ stateroom, you are selecting a stateroom type (e.g. interior, ocean view, balcony or suite), but the cruise line assigns the deck and location of the stateroom. Once the stateroom is assigned, any changes may incur additional costs or fees.
  • Q. Are gratuities included with my cruise total?

  • Gratuities are not included with your cruise total unless explicitly stated. Gratuities vary by cruise line, but are typically between $12-$15 USD per person, per night regardless of age. Free gratuities are a common perk during cruise line promotions.
  • Q. How old do I have to be to cruise?

  • Cruise lines vary in policy with regards to age restrictions. Most cruise lines requires at least one passenger within a cabin to be 21+ years of age.
  • Q. How old does an infant have to be to cruise?

  • Most cruise lines require infants to be at least 6 months of age at the time of embarkation. For certain lines and itineraries, infants may need to be at least 12 months of age. These policies are subject to change and can be verified by the cruise line or by contacting one of our agents at 1-866-836-6963.
  • Q. Do infants and children get a discount?

  • Some lines do provide discounted or free fare for infants and/or children, such as Cunard, Disney, Costa, and MSC. The requirements for these discounts will vary based on age restrictions, itineraries, and number of adults in the stateroom.
  • Q. What if my cruise itinerary changes after I make my reservation?

  • Unfortunately, cruise lines do not guarantee itineraries. They will provide a departure date and length of cruise only. The itinerary is subject to change without notice and compensation is not guaranteed per each cruise line's terms.
  • Q. What if I have to cancel my cruise due to medical reasons?  Will I receive a refund?

  • As long as you did not confirm a non-refundable fare, you may cancel before the penalty timeframe for a full refund. We strongly suggest purchasing Travel Insurance to ensure compensation if a cancellation arises due to an unforeseen circumstance such as medical reasons, death, financial hardship, or weather related cancellations.   • Q. What time should I board the ship for my cruise?

  • The U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires all cruise lines to submit a final departure manifest at least 60 minutes prior to departure from U.S. ports. We suggest all guests be at the cruise port 2-4 hours prior to the departure time. No refunds are available for guests who do not arrive to the pier in time to board their cruise.
