George Town, Grand Cayman

There is plenty to anticipate as you travel to Grand Cayman Island. Capital city George Town is known for its financial industry, boasting over 600 banks. In addition to off-shore banking, tourism runs high in this Grand Cayman vacation spot. As the southernmost tip of the contiguous United States, Key West, Florida is a thriving tourist community known for its writers and its pie. Claiming to be the only city in the contiguous states to never have a frost, Key West offers an abundance of tropical activities. Snorkeling in Key West is an amazing experience. Rather stay dry in the boat? Deep sea fishing Key West waters is a great alternative. For in-shore activities, take part in the fabulous shopping, or tour Old Town to visit The Truman Annex and Fort Zachary Taylor. After an adventurous day, climb to the steps of the Lighthouse Museum for panoramic views of the amazing key west sunsets. And don't forget to enjoy a piece of the landmark key lime pie. What a treat! If history is up your alley, Key West won't be a disappointment. With large Cuban influence, this colorful city was originally populated by immigrants from the Bahamas known as Conchs. Over time, all Key West residents have affectionately adopted this name, and the conch shell has become the unofficial island symbol. Ernest Hemingway, arguably the most famous Conch, penned many of his novels here. Tour his lavish home to see the typewriter used to write "A Farewell to Arms" and many other original manuscripts while descendents of his famous six toed cats roam his estate. Fellow author Tennessee Williams wrote the first draft of his famous "A Streetcar Named Desire" while also in Key West. Both men spent time writing at La Costa hotel.
